Without thought and emotion, they are no more than pointless flailing.
When these three foundational aspects of life are working together, you have all it takes to make your life the happy and productive experience you are looking for.  
Making thoughts, emotions and actions work together to create the life you can feel good about living is perhaps the most important task you face.   When thoughts, emotions and actions are not in alignment, you are left with a fragmented and unproductive existence.  When thoughts, emotions and actions are not aligned, they tend to fight each other creating a sense of turmoil and confusion.  Sometimes thoughts and emotions struggle with each other leaving little or no useful action.  When action alone takes over, sometimes in the form of habits, it can leave you feeling exhausted and helpless.  

It is only when these three are aligned that you are able to move forward coherently.  When they are not aligned there will likely be internal turmoil and those around you will find you confusing and frustrating.
