Individual TherapyMeeting individually offers the opportunity to explore problems related to specific life circumstances as well as broader issues having to do with the direction your life is starting to take.
Generally speaking, there are five "windows" of experience--thoughts, emotions, sensations, intentions and actions. Increasing awareness of and access to each of these aspects improves one's ability to live a life characterized by integrity, genuineness and honesty. |
Sometimes it can be helpful to think of individual work as your “inner mission.” Ask yourself what stands between you and the life you’d like to have. Once you’ve identified those obstacles you can begin the mission to overcome them.
Have you ever listened to yourself? ...really listened?
What happens in a one-on- one session? |
Have you ever listened to yourself? ...really listened? Have you ever had someone take the time to devote all their energy to listening to you? ...really listen? That's what happens when I work with individuals. It's a specific amount of time that's wholly devoted to you and the way you experience the most important thing you have--your life. Occasionally self exploration can feel slow and sometimes, even pointless. But, it's like mining for gold. A lot of earth has to be moved to find the valuable nuggets that make it all worthwhile. Your life is precious. It deserves the depth of attention individual work provides.
